The January’s Moon

The quiet chill of winter’s night

Stars overpowered by moom’s bright light

Stillness decended upon our earth

Winter’s waiting for rebirth

Heart’s beating rythm pounding

Thoughts of you are most astounding

Life on hold awaiting spring

Thoughts of lovers blooming brings

Beauty found on summer’s day

Awaits now springtime for to play

Quiet chill of winter’s night

I see your face in moon’s bright light

  1. Chris. I really enjoyed this. I’m glad that I stopped by!

…awesome poem! Believe it or not, I found myself singing it instead of just reading it….hmmmmmm, you may have to reconsider!

  3. Hi Chris, thanks for being the 1st person to post on my blog! Love this poem, especially its iambic tone – I guess that’s what makes dthanja want to sing along. God Bless!
